So I've been a bit dormant online lately, only because it's rather hard to blog when you're building a new roof for your porch. Whew, it's been tough work, especially in the heat, but now nearing completion, which makes me feel good.
Is this the back porch? I was thinking you were talking about the front porch, but it just doesn't look right to me for what I'm remembering about the house.
You'll be rich enough to pay extra taxes, eh? Good thing you escaped from behind the cheddar curtain.
Hey, just thought you might want to know -- Mark mentioned on the show yesterday that he'd be sub-hosting for Rush on Monday and Tuesday. Wouldn't want you to miss your fix.
I've been a Lutheran pastor for about 35 years (LCMS), and have been here in Kewanee for about 17 of those years. Did I mention that I'm also the editor-in-chief of Gottesdienst? Check it out at www.gottesdienst.org. If you really want to see more about me, get on that Gottesdienst website and check out my cv.

It's both porches, which were leaking, plus two other flat places on the roof. The pics are the back porch.
The professional roofer wanted an obscene amount of money to do it, so now that I am doing it myself, I am saving so much I'll be rich.
