Mmm mmm mmm

By now we've all heard the creepy song the New Jersey schoolchildren have been programmed to sing about our president. I paid closer attention to the words today, and found something even creepier in them:

"Red and yellow, black and white,
All are equal in his sight"

That, as most baby boomers know, is a song about Jesus, who

". . . loves the little children,
All the children of the world,
Red and yellow, black and white
they are precious in his sight"

A generation ago I would not have had to point this out, since virtually everyone knew the source of those words. But today? Certainly those children can hardly be expected to know.

So we have yet another blatant attempt to make Obama into Jesus in the minds of little children. The bare words of that chant now have the children thinking that all these different people are considered in Obama's sight.

And to boot this new savior does not count everyone as "precious" as the original lyrics would have it, but "equal," as in the equalizing mind of Karl Marx, "From each according to their ability to each according to their need."

I'm telling you, this is getting on beyond politics. This is not-so-subtle attack on the Christian faith. There is a new savior, and there is a new religion.

Or am I overreacting? Mmm, mmm, mmm . . .

You are over-reacting. And ignoring that similar songs were song honoring President George W. Bush.

By the way, terming that the children were "programed" to sing this song is pure Fox Network.

You are over-reacting. Sadly, over-reacting.

If similar songs were sung regarding President Bush, I'd like to hear one of them. I don't believe you; I'm calling your bluff.

But even if you could produce them, I'd have to say the same thing: they're creepy. Don't you think?

I mean, did Fox Network concoct this?

And regarding Fox Network: if they are biased, and not, as they claim, "fair and balanced," it certainly is refreshing at least to have another point of view out there. They provide balance against loony Keith Olberman and his ilk.

Which, evidently, troubles you.

Jon Stewart on the Daily Show played a tape of children singing about President Obama in, I believe, New Jersey and followed it with a similar song sung about President Bush in New Orleans.

In neither case were the children "programed." Teaching children to respect the President in silly little songs has been going on for a long time.

As for your Olberman comment, I fail to see the logic. Listening to the loonies on the right is not justified because there are loonies on the left.

Mr. Obama is not a Marxist, whatever his faults are. He is not a substitute for Jesus.

Even if you can produce examples of supporters of Mr. Obama who verge on idolatry, so what? You are a theologian. Idolatry is the first and easiest sin for fallen mankind.

John Lennon was more popular than Christ among some people and I dare say that some hold an embarrassing reverence for President Reagan far beyond his merits. Undue adulation given to any man says nothing about the man himself.

You are over-reacting.

I object to this, regardless of the who is sitting in the Oval Office. I do find the Bush song a little less troublesome because he is not singled out - but singing to FEMA?!?

Here are the Lyrics to the songs in question:

The 'Bush' Song (or at least the verse that mentions him)

Our country’s stood beside us

People have sent us aid.

Katrina could not stop us,
our hopes will never fade.

Congress, Bush and FEMA

People across our land

Together have come to rebuild us
and we join them hand-in-hand!

The 'Obama' Songs:

Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

I read both songs below. BIG DIFFERENCE between the two songs. Bush was only mentioned once in the song as one of several that came to their aid. The Obama songs are ALL about him. Verse after verse is about him. Yes, very scary. The president himself said look at the people I surround myself with and you will see what I am about. I suggest reading the book "Shadow Government" which is about his czars. Then discuss what he represents. By the way, Fox news has higher ratings than all the other "news" networks combined.

I expect Mr. Hill will now wish to inform us that all recent presidents have had czars, which is true.

Difference is that the others have had a few; Obama has zillions: unelected, uncleared, and in very many cases with very anti-American baggage. This is a matter of record, of course.

But I'm over-reacting.

No. You are not over-reacting. Obama has zillions of "czars." Literally, zillions.

Of course, it must be admitted that President Bush not only had "czars," but HE HAD MORE THAN PRESIDENT OBAMA.

Hey, no screaming allowed on this blog, you're hurting my ears.

The term 'czar' is itself debatable, and I'm not going to argue that Bush's increase in the number was a good thing. It wasn't. But now Obama has taken advantage of that and upped the ante. There is a continual increase in the number of appointees in the months since Obama's inauguration. In other words, he's not done yet, and he already has more than Bush. Incidentally, your "fact-check" site counted a number of 'czars' that were not Bush appointees, so their number is open to debate. Interesting what you can do with 'statistics'.

There are (arguably) currently 34 czar posts in the Obama administration. That is zillions, yes, literally zillions, of course. Especially when you consider the cost.

Here's a list for you:
1. Border Czar Alan Bersin
2. Energy czar Carol Browner
3. Urban Czar Adolfo Carrion Jr. 4. Info Czar Vivek Kundra
5. Faith-Based Czar Joshua DuBois
6. Health Reform Czar Nancy-Ann DeParle
